While resolutely modern in its robust wear, the Breitling Superocean Heritage watch nonetheless takes many cues from vintage Breitling diver and diver chronograph styles. This is most apparent in the dueling arrow-shaped hour hand and sword-shaped minute hand – which feel anything but dated despite their historic connection to Breitling’s vintage dive-watch catalog; while even the pump pushers place the watch within a vintage aesthetic vein, as most modern diver chronographs opt for screw-down designs to bolster depth ratings far below what’s practically (or humanly) possible. A Breitling caliber 13 powers the chronograph. The automatic mechanism is based upon the ETA 7750 and shares its renowned reliability.
