TAG Heuer is introducing a new version of its Monaco chronograph to coincide with this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix. This new model is a variation of last year’s skeletonised Monaco, featuring a more subdued design.
The new Monaco features a dark blue, skeletonised dial and a black DLC-coated grade-2 titanium case, measuring 39mm wide and 47mm lug-to-lug. Yellow accents add a touch of colour. The dial is sandblasted blue with extensive skeletonisation, revealing the Heuer calibre 02 chronograph beneath. It is paired with a sporty blue calfskin and leather strap.
The Heuer calibre 02 is visible through the sapphire caseback. This movement is a column wheel, vertical clutch chronograph that operates at 4 Hz and has an 80-hour power reserve. The industrial finishing showcases the column wheel, which acts as the on-off switch for the chronograph mechanism.
