It has a pull-out winding crown with a single button for split seconds, round chronograph push buttons, and there is a solid case back secured with 6 screws, it’s engraved with “GIRARD PERREGAUX – REF. 90240,” and an edition number out of 100. The round solid 41mm diameter three-body case, curved lugs, and stepped/flat-angled bezel, are polished/brushed.
The Girard Perregaux Sport Classique Foudroyante dial is silver with applied Arabic numeral hour markers (larger at the half hours) surrounded by an outer black tachymeter scale to 500 UPH, and there is a perimeter black second scale with red Arabic numerals every five seconds to 60. It includes steel dauphin sword hands, and there are twin-blued split/second rattrapante sweep hands with open and solid circular counterbalances. There are twin recessed white subsidiary dials with black Arabic numerals and markers, including a 1/8 second split-seconds “foudroyante” chronograph with a red indicator hand at 9 o’clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at the 3 o’clock position with a blued indicator hand. It’s water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet and the 14.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
