Omega Unveils De Ville Mini Trésor: A Playful Elegance in Watchmaking

Omega has recently introduced a new line of five De Ville Mini Trésor models, expanding its offerings in the watchmaking domain. These timepieces, characterised by a petite 26mm size, include three models crafted in stainless steel and two in Omega’s proprietary 18K Moonshine Gold. Maintaining the signature Trésor design, each watch features slim applied Roman numeral indices and stick hands, presenting a simple time-only, date-free design. The crystal protecting the dial has a slightly domed profile, contributing to its classic appeal.

For the stainless steel models, the off-white Grand Feu enamel dial with grey Roman numerals remains consistent. The straps, however, offer distinct personalities, with options including a quilt-patterned black leather strap, a grey alligator strap, and a double-wrapped brown leather strap.

The Moonshine Gold models take a more playful approach. Against an off-white Grand Feu dial, one model features bold red Roman numerals paired with a matching double-wrap red leather strap. The other model showcases a champagne-hued gold dial with textured surfaces, imitating silk, and golden-hued numerals, creating a monochromatic yet luxurious colour palette.

Turning the watches over reveals a “her time” pattern on the caseback – a blooming floral mandala paying homage to Omega’s women’s watchmaking history. The crown, adorned with a bright red flower and a central diamond, complements this floral motif. Additionally, each model comes with a unique bracelet from Omega’s fine jewellery collection. Powered by the Quartz movement Calibre Omega 4061, these watches firmly position themselves in the realm of jewellery watches.

Analysing the release objectively, these models bring variety to the existing line of De Ville Mini Trésors, catering to different tastes. While they do not revolutionise the collection, the watches maintain a dressy, formal, and sparkling appeal, offering an array of fun quirks despite their timeless design. The pricing for these models ranges from $4,800 for stainless steel to $8,900 for Moonshine Gold, and availability is expected soon, with specific details to be determined.
