The rubber strap, secured with hex bolts, ensures durability, though its proprietary design limits aftermarket strap options. Blancpain has, however, provided an extended strap option for those requiring additional length over dive suits.

Despite the inclusion of a helium release valve, a feature primarily used in saturation diving environments, the BOC IV remains a highly functional dive watch suitable for recreational and professional use. The calibre 1315A movement, visible through the sapphire caseback, offers robust performance with a high level of finishing. Its 120-hour power reserve and resistance to magnetism align with Blancpain’s emphasis on precision and durability.
