The IWC Portuguese is one of the most popular chronograph watches ever produced and a signature piece of the Schaffhausen-based company. This piece is an attractive version of it combining a stainless steel case and a silvered dial with blue indexes matching the blued steel hands. The IWC Portugieser 3714 was introduced in 1998 as a more affordable take on the split-seconds 3712. The case measures 40.9mm across; up until 2007 it housed the self-winding caliber 79240; after that the 79350 was used.
